Interaction Designer / Art Director

In 2009, USTA released its first US Open iPhone App. As an added bonus to American Express clientele, the App gave Cardmembers a direct line to people who know the game best. We conceived and designed an “Ask the Booth” feature as part of the App, where fans could tune into a live radio broadcast of the event on their iPhone, and then text messages directly to the radio commentator booth. The panel of experts and celebrity athletes responded directly to the questions in real-time, allowing users to become a part of the radio broadcast itself. C-Net noted the app as “the next best thing to being courtside.”
